ABOUT ME

My name is Maria and I qualified as a Speech & Language Therapist in October 2008 completing a postgraduate diploma at City University London.
I obtained a BA in English Language and Communication at King's College London in 2005.
I was employed by the NHS from January 2009-September 2023, where I mainly worked in community clinics for preschool children with speech and/or language disorders but also with older children with a range of difficulties, including autism, stammering, voice difficulties and language difficulties.
I now work independently with children of all ages either in the family’s home or at the child’s nursery/school.
My aim is to work together with the family and the child at the centre. It is important to me to empower families so that they can support the child's speech, language and communication skills. 
I have a special interest in speech and language disorders as well as bilingualism.
